Love is infinite. Time is finite. Never be afraid to share your love but hoard your time for what truly matters.

 Conservative idealogy is the desire to protect the progress of the past while preventing progress in the future.

If your bigotry is based on your religion, it doesn't justify your bigotry but invalidates your beliefs.

I used to judge people on how they treated me. But that was too easy a test. I now judge on how they treat others, those unlike them, the disadvantaged and downtrodden. Our true test comes when we have the power and how we choose to use it.

Those who seek to lead are the ones who must learn to follow. Those who lead by necessity are demonstrating their true qualities.

Our self-esteem is best reflected in how we treat others. For to disrespect others is to expect no respect from them.

We have to assume we have free will if only because that possibility exists.

Those who risk their lives just to find its value must ultimately be unhappy. for the valuation of a thing solely by its loss implies no joy in its mere possession.

Solitude is necessary to get the true measure of oneself. But without others we have no stick against which to measure.

Life is a blur of disconnected events. There is no path or purpose, no rhyme or reason. We are adrift on the winds of chance at the mercy of powers beyond our control.

Love is the feeling that bet conveys our humanity. Yet it involves the least amount of intellect.

Honesty is like armor. It takes strength to embrace it. But it's too easy to be enraptured by its cold brilliance that blocks out both good and bad.

"Yes, your reasoning is sound. But the depth of your conviction is the cause for my concern. For belief is the antithesis of truth."

Perception is reality. For to tell the difference between them requires knowledge beyond our senses.

There is only one way to get what you want in this world - and that is to TAKE it.  Simple.  The problem lies in knowing what you want and where to find it.

If Aristotle was right and the middle is the safe ground, why does society glorify those who live on the edge?  Are they living the lives we wish we had?  Or are they there to help us feel content in our safety far from their recklessness?

The world judges us for what we are, while we see ourselves for what we want to be.

Reason is the great illusion.  Intellect seduces us like a master magician.  We are so focused on our reason and self-determination that we don't see the left hand of instinct taking rationality out of the box and putting emotion in its place.

The perfect man is not the happy man.  For happiness comes from achievement and perfection implies fait de compli - nothing needs to be achieved.

There are no inherent laws we are beholden to; therefore we must choose by what laws we wish to live.
